Although she’s only five years old, Suri Cruise emerged at #21 on Glamour Magazine UK’s Best Dressed List, topping Sarah Jessica Parker and joining the ranks of Nicole Richie, Jennifer Aniston and other fabulous celebrities. The list was compiled by reader votes and apparently some readers thought it was noteworthy to include the young girl on the Top 50 list. She is the only child on it.

Curiously, her mother, Katie Holmes, is not on the list.

The minute this news broke out, a lot of people came out to criticize her inclusion.

This is what The Sun wrote:

And over at Daily Mail, a suggestion was offered for the parents of Suri:

Perhaps it would be more sensible for the Cruises to actively discourage such wilful character traits in their daughter, and dress the poor kid down, not up, up, up — as if every day was a prom day.

The furor over this is no surprise. Suri’s manner of dressing by her parents have been criticized in the past. It was actually reported that the girl has a closet full of designer clothes well worth over $3Million, which is extravagant by any standards.

While the child looks really adorable, other people are wondering if she’s growing up to be normal, with her feet firmly on the ground. Who is to be blame for the constant media attention of Suri? Her parents or the consuming public?

But this five-year old, who should be pulling on her favourite Disney costume when playing dress-up, is regularly spotted wearing bright red lipstick, gold high heels and clip-on earrings. That little Suri is working on perfecting her paparazzi looks rather than going on play dates is totally and utterly WRONG.
