Last month, it has introduced the Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Dinner Veggie Pasta, which has cauliflower in it. The packages were sold at Walmart and Target stores all across the country. And the pasta for this were made with organic ingredients.

This is also one way of letting children eat vegetables without having to fuss about it. As many parents know, it’s very hard to convince kids to eat what’s good for them.

According to Kraft Foods —

“We know moms are always looking to please their kids and wanting to not make meals a big ordeal, in so far as being able to get them to eat their food. Mom is looking for ways to sneak veggies into her kids’ diet.”

In fact, the pasta packs have been readily available in Canada since March and has been well-received, that it has boosted profits for the company.

This latest product has been lauded, not just by parents, but also by nutritionists.

“I don’t think there’s a food company in American that doesn’t have on its radar the health and wellness of Americans, as a market. They think it’s a driving force in our behavior. I know it’s not. I know the driving force of our behavior is taste buds.”

Have you and your kids already tried this new product from Kraft? And are they liking it?

Screen shot 2011-06-11 at 6.44.14 AMAs a parent traveling with young kids all by yourself, it’s easy to think that it will be very hard to get through. It’s an ordeal that some single parents do not delve into, if it can be avoided. But lots of single parents travel with their kids and still be able to enjoy it.

Here are a few suggestions on what to do:

1. By-pass lines. It is really a pain to watch singe parents with their kids in tow, waiting in long lines. The children will easily get bored and would probably wander off. To avoid all of this, checking luggages can now be done conveniently online. It’s truly hassle free and all you have to do is login to the airlines site and check in 24 hours before your flight.

2. Board the plane earlier. Airlines actually make parents traveling with children as priority. Boarding earlier will have you and your child plenty of time to get comfortable in your seat as the rest of the passengers still find theirs.

3. Bring a stroller, this way, you can strap your kid as you go through all the securities and check you have to do and not worry about him getting lost. Strollers are not counted as luggage.

4. Make sure that your ride is there when you get to your destination. If someone is picking you up, like a family member, you can go ahead and hand over your child with them, if your child is comfortable enough, as you sort through the luggage compartment. Or if you have enlisted airport pick up, be sure that the driver is already there and waiting for you.

Today, the attention has been on the growing problems of Swine Flu and the H1N1 virus. But some months back, you may recall the massive recalls made on baby products that carried heavy doses of lead content, something that has surprising died down.

But that doesn’t mean that this issue has been covered completely. You just cannot take the issue for granted. And as parents, you have to determine if your child has already been contaminated or has been exposed to so much lead already. So how do you find out?

Well, there is an oral-based lead testing product that can aid you in this area. It is LeadConfirm Saliva Lead Test. This is a good way to determine and pry your child away from potential lead poisoning, a deadly and treacherous ordeal that you may eventually have to deal with.

LeadConfirm Professional is a testing product that checks if the body is affected by lead contamination and by how much. The testing is done using saliva collected through an FDA-approved device. The saliva is then placed in vials and sent to the Confirm BioSciences laboratories in a prepaid envelope included in the testing kit.

To test for lead contamination in the body using saliva samples, Confirm BioSciences utilizes advanced technology in Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) with Mass Spectrometry X2 (LC/MS/MS). The results are available within five to six business days. The patient can get these results online or through telephone.
